FULTON, MS – The ICC softball team continues to climb in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division II polls, jumping from No. 9 to its highest-ever ranking at No. 6 in this week's Top 20 rankings.

The move comes after the Indians (31-10-1, 19-5 MACJC) defeated previously ranked No. 1 Jones County Junior College, 2-1, to earn a split with the Bobcats (38-2, 22-2 MACJC) on Friday after sweeping East Mississippi Community College (17-22, 14-10 MACJC) and Blue Mountain College junior varsity squad earlier in the week.

MACJC teams joining the Indians in this week's rankings: No. Jones County; No. 7 Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College (31-10, 20-4 MACJC); and No. 9 East Central Community College (36-6; 21-5 MACJC)

The No. 6 Indians will be back in action on Wednesday when they travel to Goodman to face the Holmes Community College Bulldogs (12-16, 8-16 MACJC) before concluding the regular season Saturday at Copiah-Lincoln Community College (17-19, 12-12 MACJC). Wednesday's game will be available on starting at 2:40 p.m.

The Indians will host the opening round Best of Three Series April 28-29.
