  • No. 18 Indians sweep Hinds

    The No. 18 Indians improved to 5-1 in conference play as they swept Hinds Saturday, winning game one 11-3 in five innings and game two 4-0.
  • No. 15 Indians win and tie due to darkness at Calhoun
    March 13, 2019
    The Indians’ bat were red-hot in a 20-2 win in five innings in the first game at Calhoun (Ala.) Community College, but cooled off in timely situations in a 3-3 tie in eight innings after the game was called due to darkness in the nightcap.
  • No. 15 Indians swept by national power Wallace State-Hanceville

    The Indians, who earned a No. 15 ranking in the NJCAA Division II polls prior to first pitch, had a tall task in the No. 6 in the NJCAA Division I polls, Wallace State-Hanceville Community College Tuesday. Both games were a close battle early on, but the visiting Lady Lions picked up the sweep winning game one 17-5 and game two 7-5.
  • Indians rally to sweep Pearl River in MACJC opener

    The Indians trailed in both games of their conference opening doubleheader with Pearl River, but rallied from a 3- deficit in game one to win 7-4 and get an 8-7 walk off victory in game two to earn the sweep.

    Coach Andy Kirk announced Tuesday's doubleheader at Calhoun (Ala.) Community College has been postponed due to predicted freezing temperatures. The games have been rescheduled for Wednesday, March 13 with the First American National Bank opening pitch for game one slated for 2:00 p.m.

    Coach Andy Kirk announced the No. 10 Indians conference opening doubleheader with Pearl River Community College has been moved up to Thursday in hopes to miss the rains predicted later in the week.

    The No. 10 Indians swept a doubleheader at Snead State (Ala.) Community College on Saturday. The Indians (9-5) won the first game 8-1 and won the second game 9-3 in six innings when the game was called due to darkness.

    The No. 10 softball Indians moved to 7-5 on the year after splitting a doubleheader at No. 13 Wallace-Hanceville with a 5-2 win in 8 innings and dropping a 5-2 decision in the final game of the day.

    ICC head softball coach Andy Kirk announced Wednesday afternoon that Friday’s doubleheader at Snead State Community College has been rescheduled for March 2 due to rain and wet field conditions.

    The Marion Military Institute wanted it a little more than the Indians on Saturday. The Tigers (7-5) handed the tenth-ranked Indians (6-4) a 3-2 loss before scoring a pair of runs on a pair of two-out errors in the bottom of the seventh to complete the sweep with an 8-7 win in walk-off fashion.
  • No. 10 Indians split on the road with Bevill State

    In two polar opposite games, the No. 10 Indians earned a split with Bevill State (Ala.) Community College winning Game One in dominating fashion 21-0 in five innings, and dropping Game Two, 6-3.
  • Time change for softball games at Bevill State

    Monday’s doubleheader at Bevill State (Ala.) Community College has been moved up to 11:00 a.m. in hopes to avoid rain expected in Sumiton. In the event of rain overnight, the field will be looked at and a decision will be made early Monday morning.

    The No. 10 Indians overcame a sluggish afternoon at the ballpark to earn a split with Jackson State (Tenn.) Community College in their home opener after rebounding from a 5-2 Game 1 loss with a 2-1 win in walk-off fashion in the nightcap.
