FULTON, MS – Sophomore outfielder Timothy Rowe (Hernando) was named Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges (MACJC) Baseball Player of the Week on Tuesday.
Rowe batted .727 (8-for-11) with nine RBI, two doubles, a home run, two walks, three runs and was 1-for-1 on stolen base attempts over four games last week.
The left handed hitter opened the week with a 3-for-4, 2-RBI performance in the Indians 11-1 game one win over Williams Baptist (AR) and picked up four RBI with his first inning grand slam and went 1-for-2 in the 13-1 game two victory.
Against Lake Land (IL), Rowe was a perfect 3-of-3 with two doubles and three RBI in the Indians 7-2 game one win and went 1-for-2 with two runs scored in the 14-2 game two victory.
Rowe leads the Indians (9-1) in batting average (.621) and RBIs (21).
Up next, ICC will travel to Calhoun Community College on Wednesday for a doubleheader starting at 12:00 p.m. in Decatur, AL before facing East Central Community College in a non-division doubleheader on Saturday.
