Indians split with Southwest on the road
The Indians earned a split on the road against the Southwest Bears on Saturday.

Game 1: Bears 12, Indians 9
Despite scoring nine runs on seven hits, the Indians dropped a high-scoring affair in game one at Southwest, 12-9.
The Bears struck first with three runs in the bottom of the first inning and added one in the third. In the top of the fourth, ICC tied it up at 4-4 when Jude Treadaway grounded out to score Jarrett Morris, Bryce Glenn scored on an error and Stone Collier doubled to score Evan McCarthy and Nathan Ferris.
After Southwest reclaimed the lead with a run in the bottom of the fourth, the Indians scored four more runs in the top of the fifth to take the lead, 8-5. Morris and Glenn scored on an error and Collier used a 2 RBI double to score Treadaway and Ferris.
The Bears took the lead back after plating five runs in the bottom of the fifth. Treadaway grounded out in the top of the sixth to get a run back for ICC, but that was the last score of the contest in favor of the Indians. Southwest scored two more runs in the seventh on their way to the game one win.
On the mound, Brock Ware struck out four batters and walked two while surrendering seven runs on nine hits in four innings of work.
Collier led ICC with four RBIs on two hits and Treadaway followed with two RBIs on one hit.
Game 2: Indians 5, Bears 1
Timely hitting across the lineup helped the Indians pick up the 5-1 game two win at Southwest to earn the split.
ICC got on the board first in the second after Bryce Glenn tripled to score Jarrett Morris and Luke Wood used an RBI double to score Glenn.
The Bears answered with a run in the third, but the Indians added another to their lead in the fifth courtesy of an RBI single from Stone Collier that scored Nathan Ferris.
The Indians added a pair of insurance runs in the seventh when Glenn singled to score Morris and Evan McCarthy.
Jude Treadaway picked up the win for the Indians as he allowed no runs on one hit while also striking out four batters and walking two through four innings. Andrew Williams led things off on the mound for ICC, picking up two strikeouts and walking three batters while surrendering one run on two hits.
At the plate, Glenn led the way with three hits while Collier and Wood each added two. Glenn also drove in a team-best three runs.
