Baseball Has Six Earn All-MACCC Honors
Six Itawamba Community College standouts have earned postseason honors from the Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference (MACCC), the conference announced Thursday.
FULTON, Miss. – Six Itawamba Community College standouts have earned postseason honors from the Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference (MACCC), the conference announced Thursday.
Andrew Williams, Reid Kent, Madden Butler and Brody Thompson were all named First Team All-MACCC while Cannon Graham and Tre Gunn were named Honorable Mention.
Williams was one of the top arms for the Indians throughout the season, leading the team with seven wins, 71 strikeouts and a team-best 3.60 earned run average. One of his top outings came on April 14 against Northeast when he struck out eight batters and allowed just two hits in ICC's 7-3 game two victory.
Kent turned in one of the most productive offensive seasons for the Indians, leading the team with 70 runs batted in and 18 home runs while posting a .411 batting average. In ICC's 15-11 game one win over Northeast on April 14, Kent went 4-for-5 at the plate with four RBI.
Butler paced the Indians with a team-best .441 batting average while adding 60 RBI, 12 home runs and seven stolen bases. He delivered a strong performance in ICC's 14-6 game one win over Gulf Coast on April 29, going 3-for-6 with three RBI.
Thompson finished the season with a .368 batting average along with 13 home runs and 43 RBI. He etched his name into the ICC record book against No. 4 Jones when he set the program's modern-day record for home runs in a single game with four, including a walk-off solo home run to left field.
Graham earned Honorable Mention recognition after batting .368 with 61 RBI, 11 home runs and 11 stolen bases. He had one of his best performances of the season in ICC's 16-13 game one win over Hinds on March 21, finishing 3-for-6 with six RBI. Graham also delivered an RBI double to walk it off in the bottom of the eighth to secure a 10-9 win in game two against Northwest on March 18.
Gunn added another spark to the ICC lineup, leading the team with 15 stolen bases while also recording 48 RBI, 12 home runs and a .298 batting average. Against No. 19 Meridian on March 14, Gunn went 3-for-5 with five RBI and two home runs in a 15-12 contest.
Under the direction of first-year head coach Slater Lott, the Indians finished the 2026 season with a 33-19 overall record and a 19-9 mark in MACCC play, earning a berth in the NJCAA Region 23 Tournament. ICC also climbed as high as No. 21 in the NJCAA Division II Baseball Rankings during the season.
