"It's an honor to be ranked amongst the nation's best in the eyes of the NJCAA," said ICC head football coach Jon Williams. "I hope our players see this as a responsibility to reflect those rankings by going to work each day to keep getting better and be able to play like a top-ranked team each time we take the field."
The Indians' 4-0 start is the first for the program since 1992 and will looking for their first 5-0 start in the history of the program when they face Northwest Mississippi Community College (1-3; 1-1 MACJC North) for Homecoming on Saturday.
"We have to be much more focused than we have the past two weeks to even hope to come away with a win against a very dangerous Northwest team," said Williams. "They've had our number over the past few years and can really turn things around by getting a win over us on Homecoming."
Kickoff is slated for 4:00 p.m. against the Rangers. The game can be heard on WAFM 95.7 FM and watched online at LetsGoICC.com starting at 3:40 with the Davis Ford Pre-Game Show.
