FULTON, MS – The Itawamba Community College football team slipped to 13th in the nation according to this week's National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) poll.
ICC (5-1, 3-0 MACJC North) dropped nine spots after suffering their first loss of the season in convincing fashion, 48-7, to the defending MACJC champions No. 7 Copiah-Lincoln Community College (5-1, 2-1 MACJC South) in Wesson this past Thursday.
Georgia Military College (7-0) remains the No. 1 team in the nation while Jones County Junior College (6-0, 4-0 MACJC South) moved up one spot to No. 2 while East Mississippi Community College (6-0, 3-0 MACJC North) slid back to No. 3 with Tyler Junior College (6-0) and Iowa Western Community College (6-1) round out the Top 5 according to the NJCAA.
Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College (5-1, 2-1 MACJC South) moved up two spots to No. 8 as the only other MACJC team ranked in this week's poll >>> click here for entire poll.
The Indians re-enter division play as they travel to Clarksdale to take on Coahoma Community College at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
