FULTON, MS – Coach Sean Cannon announced finalized his 2014 coaching staff by introducing new Offensive Line and Tight Ends Coach Cody Woodiel on Monday.
Woodiel spent the past two years as the Offensive Line and Tight Ends Graduate Assistant at Troy University.
The Hernando native split time between guard, tackle, and tight end for two seasons at Troy and was selected to play in the Casino Del Sol All-Star game after starting all 12 games and 800 snaps for the Trojans as a senior. That season the Troy offensive line finished 25th in the NCAA allowing just 1.25 sacks per game despite attempting 42.4 pass attempts per game. Woodiel graded out at 85 percent on the season, including 90-plus marks against Mississippi State, North Texas, Tennessee, and Navy.
