The National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) opened its 2015 Football Season Preview Series by announcing their top incoming freshmen from and ICC defensive lineman Kenney Wooten of Meridian was amongst the nation’s best newcomers.

FULTON, MS - The National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) opened its 2015 Football Season Preview Series by announcing their top incoming freshmen from and ICC defensive lineman Kenney Wooten of Meridian was amongst the nation's best newcomers.
The 6-1, 240-pound defensive lineman recorded 37 tackles (22 solo; 15 assists) with 7 sacks for a loss of 42 yards with 2 forced fumbles and one fumble returned for a touchdown to help the Wildcats finish 7-5 and advance to the Class 6A playoffs last season.
Wooten is the second Indian to earn preseason honors. Earlier this month, sophomore QB Kwadra Griggs (Greenwood) was named to the College Football America Junior College Starting Lineup as part of the College Football America 2015 Yearbook Encyclopedia >>> click here for more information.
The Indians open the season against top-ranked Copiah-Lincoln Community College on Thursday, August 27 with kickoff slated for 7:00 p.m. at Eaton Field.
