FULTON, Miss. – Offensive linemen Amar Harper and Barrett Maddox have been named to the 2025 JCGridiron Preseason All-American Teams. Harper earned Second Team honors. Maddox was selected to the Fourth Team.
JCGridiron is one of the top national authorities on junior college football. Its All-American teams spotlight the players who are ready to move on to four-year programs. Being named is a major achievement. It shows a player has talent, experience, and the ability to compete at the next level.
Harper is a 6-foot-6, 315-pound tackle from Magee, Mississippi. He started all nine games for ICC in 2024. He helped the Indians improve from a 3-6 record in 2023 to 6-3 last season. Harper is a strong, consistent player who dominates at the line of scrimmage. He has drawn offers from multiple FBS programs and has committed to Troy University for next season.
Maddox also stands 6-foot-6 and weighs 320 pounds. He was a three-star recruit out of Clinton High School in Tennessee. Maddox played at Vanderbilt before transferring to ICC. He has SEC-level talent and is ready to make an immediate impact. Being named a preseason All-American before playing a snap for ICC shows the national respect he commands.
"Amar and Barrett are two of the most talented linemen I've ever coached," ICC head coach Travis Macon said. "Their work ethic and leadership set the tone for our entire team. Having them anchor our offensive line gives us a real chance to compete at the highest level this season."
The Indians open the 2025 season Thursday night at home against Hinds Community College. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. Fans can join the Red Zone Community Tailgate starting at 4 p.m. on the Davis Event Center lawn, which will also host the football team's Spirit Walk at 4 p.m.
