ICC announces 2026 football schedule with five home games
“Every year in this league is a challenge, especially in the North Division,” ICC head coach Travis Macon said. “We’re excited about the opportunity in front of us, but we also understand what this schedule demands. You have to be ready to play every Thursday night because there are no easy weeks.”
FULTON, Miss. – A longer regular season, a straight path to the conference championship and five home games built around some of Itawamba Community College's biggest campus traditions will highlight the 2026 ICC football schedule.
"Every year in this league is a challenge, especially in the North Division," ICC head coach Travis Macon said. "We're excited about the opportunity in front of us, but we also understand what this schedule demands. You have to be ready to play every Thursday night because there are no easy weeks."
The Indians will be part of the first 10-game MACCC regular season since 2000, giving fans an extended fall slate and giving each week added weight in the race for the league title. This season's playoff format will send the No. 1 team from the North Division and the No. 1 team from the South Division directly to the MACCC Championship game.
"This is going to be another tough battle through the North Division," Macon said. "Every team knows what is at stake with the new playoff format, so those division games are going to carry a lot of weight. We have to prepare the right way each week and take care of the things we can control."
For ICC, that means every Thursday night will matter.
The Indians will open the season Thursday, Aug. 27 at Hinds before returning to Fulton for the home opener against East Central on Thursday, Sept. 3 at 7 p.m. at Eaton Field.
The 2026 season will also mark the first at Butch Lambert Stadium with an all-new natural grass playing surface, new LED stadium lighting and a state-of-the-art videoboard set to be the largest in the league.
That home opener will also feature the Red Zone Tailgate, giving fans their first chance of the season to gather on campus, reconnect with friends and get the full game day atmosphere started before kickoff.
The rivalry matchup with Northeast will return to Fulton on Thursday, Sept. 17 at 7 p.m. The game will feature the All-American Heroes 250th Celebration.
October will bring three straight major home events to Eaton Field.
ICC will host Holmes on Thursday, Oct. 1 at 7 p.m. as part of Choptoberfest and Fall Preview Day. The night will bring together football, campus spirit and prospective students getting a look at life at ICC.
One week later, Jones College will visit Fulton for Homecoming on Thursday, Oct. 8 at 7 p.m. The final home game of the regular season will come Thursday, Oct. 22 when ICC hosts East Mississippi at 7 p.m. for Chilifest.
The Indians' road schedule includes trips to Hinds, Gulf Coast, Coahoma, Northwest and Mississippi Delta.
All games will be available on LetsGoICCTV.com/red and SuperTalk 101.9 FM (Tupelo).
