Robert Hentz
Defensive Line Coach
Robert Hentz serves as the Defensive Line Coach at Itawamba Community College, bringing a strong background as both a decorated player and an emerging coach. Known for his work ethic, attention to detail, and player development, Hentz is committed to building tough, disciplined defensive linemen.
Hentz began his coaching career at North Panola High School, where he coached the defensive line and helped develop a physical, high-energy front.
As a player, Hentz excelled at every level. He earned All-State and All-Region honors at South Panola High School, then became one of the nation’s top interior defenders at Northwest Mississippi Community College, where he earned All-MACCC, All-NJCAA Region 23, and NJCAA All-American honors in 2019. He later transferred to Kansas State University, earning Big 12 All-Academic honors in 2021 and 2022 while continuing his on-field success.
Hentz earned his degree in Sports Performance / Studies of Education from Kansas State University.
