Indians fall in conference tournament to No. 2 Pearl River
In the quarterfinals of the MACJC Tournament, the Indians drew No. 2 ranked and undefeated Pearl River. Despite a hard fought and well played game, the Indians fell 78-57.

Scooba, Miss. – In the quarterfinals of the MACJC Tournament, the Indians drew No. 2 ranked and undefeated Pearl River. Despite a hard fought and well played game, the Indians fell 78-57.
The Indians (9-14) came out hitting their shots and led for most of the first half, but the Wildcats took and extended their lead to 10, 39-29, by halftime.
With just over 10 minutes left in the game, Ma'Darius Hobson (Houlka) pulled the Indians within three, 53-50 after hitting a three-pointer and making the and one foul shot.
In the final minutes however, Pearl River would pull away to pick up the victory and eliminate the Indians for the tournament.
Hobson led the Indians with 19 points, followed by Travonta Doolittle (Hughes, Ark.) with 13 points. Brandon Brown (Memphis, Tenn.) had a double-double in the contest with 11 points and 10 rebounds.
