Indians to face East Mississippi in Region Tournament opener
The Itawamba Community College men’s basketball team will face East Mississippi Community College Monday night in their opening game of the NJCAA Region 23 Tournament in Scooba.
Fulton, Miss. – The Itawamba Community College men's basketball team will face East Mississippi Community College Monday night in their opening game of the NJCAA Region 23 Tournament in Scooba.
The Indians (10-11) are the No. 13 seed in the tournament while the Lions (19-6) are the No. 4 seed.
In their previous meeting this season, the Lions picked up a 65-51 win in Scooba on Feb. 10.
The winner of Monday's night's game will face the winner of No. 5 seed LSU-Eunice and No. 12 seed Hinds in the third round on quick turnaround Tuesday night.
This year's tournament games are being hosted by the higher seeded team until the final two rounds, that will be hosted at Mississippi College on March 4-5.
Tip-off for Monday night's game in Scooba is scheduled for 6 p.m.
