Indians advance to Region 23 Tournament
The ICC men's basketball team earned the No. 7 seed in the NJCAA Region 23 Tournament and will host No. 10 seed Pearl River at 4 p.m. Saturday.
FULTON, Miss. - The ICC men's basketball team earned the No. 7 seed in the NJCAA Region 23 Tournament and will host No. 10 seed Pearl River at 4 p.m. Saturday.
The Indians (22-7) finished in a three-way for sixth place with Co-Lin (16-10) and Southwest (17-12). Southwest earned the No. 6 seed based on head-to-head wins over the Indians and Co-Lin. The Indians earned the No. 7 spot based on their win over Co-Lin during the regular season. The Wildcats (20-9) finished tied for ninth in the confernce and earned the No. 10 seed based on their Massey ratings.
The two teams met in February with Pearl River picking up a 72-69 win in Fulton.
The winner will travel to Booneville to face No. 2 seeded Northeast at 6 p.m. Monday. The winner will advance to the semifinals hosted by Mississippi College on Thursday. [click here for the complete bracket]
