Dent, Bridges named to All-MACCC teams
AJ Dent (Thomasville, Ga.) and Marcel Bridges (Brandon) have been named to the Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference (MACCC) men's basketball all-conference teams, according to an announcement on Tuesday.
FULTON, Miss. – AJ Dent (Thomasville, Ga.) and Marcel Bridges (Brandon) have been named to the Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference (MACCC) men's basketball all-conference teams, according to an announcement on Tuesday.
Dent achieved First Team All-MACCC honors while Bridges was named All-MACCC Honorable Mention.
Dent played a crucial role in the Indians' success this season, leading the team with 15.1 points and 7.8 rebounds per game. He also recorded a team-best 60.7 shooting percentage. Dent posted a career-best 38-point performance in ICC's 92-79 win over then-No. 7 Jones on Jan. 13. He was named MACCC Men's Basketball Player of the Week twice throughout the season and also earned NJCAA DI Men's Basketball Player of the Week on Nov. 27.
Bridges finished his ICC career averaging 10.5 points per game as well as a 49.6 shooting percentage. He also tallied 155 total rebounds and 16 assists during his sophomore season. He scored 27 points in the Indians' 73-65 win over Coahoma on Jan. 27.
The Indians finished the 2024-25 season with a 25-6 overall record, an 11-3 mark in MACCC play and an appearance in the NJCAA Region 23 semifinals.
