Men’s basketball sends nine to the next level
Nine recent graduates of Itawamba Community College have signed to continue their basketball careers at the next level.
FULTON, Miss. – Nine recent graduates of Itawamba Community College have signed to continue their basketball careers at the next level.
AJ Dent - Tarleton State University
SO - G/F - 6'6 200 - Thomasville, Ga.
Dent finished his sophomore season leading the Indians with 15.1 points and 7.8 rebounds per game alongside a team-best 60.7 shooting percentage while recording a 40.2 three-point percentage. He received MACCC Men's Basketball Player of the Week honors twice and NJCAA DI Player of the Week recognition on Nov. 27, 2024. Dent posted a career-high 38-point performance in ICC's 92-79 win over No. 7 Jones College. Located in Stephenville, Texas, the Texans compete in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I level and are a member of the Western Athletic Conference (WAC).
Davion James - Millsaps College
SO - G - 6'2 185 - Brandon
James finished his ICC career with a 48.2 shooting percentage while picking up 41 total rebounds. He made an early-season impact against Wallace-Selma, coming away with four steals, three rebounds and three assists in the Indians' 98-59 win over the Patriots. James's new Majors team competes in the NCAA Division II level and is a member of the Southern Athletic Association (SAA).
Dayveun Anderson - Lee University
SO - G - 5'11 170 - Tupelo
Anderson closed out his time at ICC with 10.5 points per game, including a 35 three-point percentage. He posted a career-best 22 points in the Indians' game against East Central on Jan. 30. He also scored 20 points in ICC's 91-83 win at Co-Lin on Feb. 24. Located in Cleveland, Tenn., the Flames are a member of both NCAA Division II and the Gulf South Conference (GSC).
Demondre Graham - Mississippi College
SO - G - 6'4 170 - Meridian
Graham finished his sophomore season with a 48.3 shooting percentage while posting 61.9 percent from the free-throw line. He scored a career-high 15 points against Northwest during his freshman season and dropped in 11 points in ICC's 101-70 win over ASU Mid-South during 2024-25. Graham joins the Choctaws that compete in both NCAA Division II and the Gulf South Conference (GSC).
James Turner - Louisiana Christian University
SO - G - 6'0 165 - Biloxi
Turner has signed with the Louisiana Christian Wildcats after finishing his sophomore season with a 53.7 shooting percentage and a team-best 43.8 three-point percentage. As a freshman, he scored a career-high 25 points in the Indians' 89-72 win over East Mississippi. He also dropped in 21 points in the Indians' 92-58 win over Mississippi Delta in the NJCAA Region 23 Tournament. Louisiana Christian competes in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and is a member of the Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC).
Jaylen Sanford - Belhaven University
SO - G - 6'1 175 - Macon, Ga.
Sanford takes his talents to the Belhaven Blazers after two seasons in Fulton. As a freshman, he scored 15 points, a career-best, in a 129-57 win over West Kentucky Tech. He was consistent at the free-throw line for the Indians this past season, making 70 percent of his shots. The Blazers are a member of NCAA Division III and compete in the Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS).
Kam Clark - Queens University
SO - G - 6'7 195 - Memphis, Tenn.
Clark finished his lone season with the Indians with 9.8 points and 5.9 rebounds per game while averaging a 33.6 three-point percentage. He led the way to a 95-74 victory over Northwest on Feb. 17 with a 23-point performance. Clark also scored 19 points in ICC's 88-74 win over Calhoun on Dec. 9. Located in Charlotte, N.C., the Royals are a member of both NCAA Division I and the Atlantic Sun Conference (ASUN).
Marcel Bridges - Mississippi College
SO - G/F - 6'6 215 - Brandon
Bridges joins Demondre Graham at Mississippi College after finishing his sophomore campaign during which he averaged five rebounds per game along with a 46.5 shooting percentage. In ICC's 73-65 win over Coahoma on Jan. 27, he posted a career-best 27 points. Bridges also scored 23 in a 90-71 win over Shelton State on Dec. 10.
MJ Smith - Mississippi College
SO - F - 6'7 215 - Prairie
Smith joins his ICC teammates Demondre Graham and Marcel Bridges in Jackson after finishing his sophomore career with a 63.7 shooting percentage along with a 64.4 percentage from the free-throw line. He posted a career-best 23-point performance in the Indians' 96-80 win over Wallace State this past season.
