FULTON, Miss. – ICC men's basketball head coach Darrian Wilson has been named the MACCC Men's Basketball Coach of the Year following a standout 2025-26 season leading the program, the conference announced on Wednesday.
Under his leadership, Wilson guided the Indians to an impressive 24-7 overall record, including a dominant 13-1 mark in Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference play. ICC's success in conference action secured the program's first MACCC Regular Season Championship since 2013-14, highlighting one of the most successful seasons in recent program history.
The Indians' consistent performance throughout the season also earned national recognition, as ICC climbed as high as No. 25 in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division II rankings. Under Wilson's direction, the team combined offensive firepower with disciplined defense, establishing itself as one of the top programs in the region.
ICC carried that momentum into postseason play, making a strong run to a Region 23 Championship appearance, where they fell to Jones in overtime, 102-96.
Wilson just finished his second season at the helm of the program and currently holds a 49-13 overall record.
