Damarion Winston has been selected to play in the 2026 NJCAA Men’s Basketball Coaches Association All-Star Game, adding another national honor to a season that kept putting his name among the best players in junior college basketball.
FULTON, Miss. - Damarion Winston's postseason run is not over yet.
After powering ICC to a conference championship and a trip to the NJCAA Region 23 title game, Winston has been selected to play in the 2026 NJCAA Men's Basketball Coaches Association All-Star Game, adding another national honor to a season that kept putting his name among the best players in junior college basketball.
Winston was one of 26 players chosen for the event, which is in its 16th year. Twenty-two of the 26 selections were also named 2026 NJCAA Men's Basketball All-Americans, including 10 first-team honorees across their respective divisions.
The all-star game is scheduled for Saturday, May 9 at Cox Pavilion in Las Vegas with tipoff set for 7:30 p.m. ET. The game will be streamed live on YouTube. The two teams will be selected by the coaches and announced before the end of April. National championship coaches Kyle Cooper of Howard and Darren Stratton of Northern Essex will serve as head coaches for the event.
For Winston, the selection is the latest headline in a season loaded with them.
The sophomore guard was named NJCAA Division I Third Team All-American after leading ICC with 16.5 points per game and a team-best 181 assists. He was the steady hand and offensive engine for the Indians all season, then found another level in March.
Winston earned NJCAA Region 23 All-Tournament Team honors and delivered one of the defining performances of ICC's season in the Region 23 Championship game against Jones. With the title on the line, Winston scored a career-high 36 points and nearly carried the Indians to the crown in a 102-96 overtime battle.
His body of work also earned him MACCC Player of the Year, First Team All-MACCC honors and a spot on the All-Region 23 Team.
ICC finished the 2025-26 season 24-7 overall and 13-1 in MACCC play, winning the MACCC Regular Season Championship and advancing to the Region 23 Championship game.
Winston's impact showed up everywhere in the record book as well.
He set ICC modern-day single-season records for field goals attempted with 359, free throws made with 161, free throws attempted with 215, points with 512 and assists with 181. He also finished fourth in field goals made with 158, sixth in points per game at 16.5, tied for eighth in three-point attempts with 118, 11th in defensive rebounds with 121, 13th in free throw percentage at 74.9 percent and 14th in three-point percentage at 29.7 percent.
Now, after one of the top seasons by a guard in program history, Winston will get one more stage, this time in Las Vegas, against the best junior college players in the country.
