ICC has already logged a full fall schedule and banked experience across multiple competitive fields. The Indians opened at the Tiger Invitational at Shiloh Ridge Golf Club and finished ninth. Freshman Max King led ICC in the season-opening event, finishing tied for 17th.
The fall also featured steady leadership from sophomore Katch Edge. At the Jim Redgate Invitational, hosted by Meridian Community College at Briarwood Golf Club, ICC finished ninth. Edge finished tied for 22nd overall.
ICC added another top-10 finish at the W. Darrall Foreman Invitational, then closed the fall with a ninth-place finish at the Bobcat Invitational hosted by Jones College at Laurel Country Club.
The spring schedule begins Feb. 9-10 at the Pearl River Invitational at Diamondhead, followed by the Tommy Snell Invitational on Feb. 25-26. March brings the East Central Invitational on March 2-3 at Dancing Rabbit and the Meridian Invitational on March 23-24 at Northwood.
April is where the season's biggest opportunities arrive. The MACCC Championship is set for April 13-14 at Ole Brook, followed by the NJCAA Region 23 Tournament on April 27-29 at Castlewoods.
With sophomores Edge and Harvey Taylor providing experience and a freshman-heavy group that includes Andrew Freeman, King, Rhondon McKinney-King, Brooks McLemore, Malone Richardson and Carter Seay, the spring half will be about turning fall flashes into consistent team scoring as ICC builds toward the postseason.
