Jose Villanueva named MACCC Player of the Week

Jackson, Miss. – Itawamba Community College's Jose Villanueva has been named Men's Soccer Player of the Week by the Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference (MACCC) for his performance last week.

The freshman scored three goals to help the Indians pick up two big North Division wins over Hinds and East Central.

Villanueva scored both of the Indians' goals in the 2-1 North Division opening win at Hinds. Against East Central, the Maylene, Ala. native scored a goal on a penalty kick in the 2-1 victory.

The Indians (3-2, 2-0 MACCC North) host Holmes today for another division matchup with kickoff scheduled for 3 p.m. That game will be available on LetsGoICCTV.com/red.
