Indians fall to Holmes in double overtime
The Indians suffered their first division loss Tuesday in heartbreaking fashion, falling 2-1 to Holmes in double overtime.

Fulton, Miss. – The Indians suffered their first division loss Tuesday in heartbreaking fashion, falling 2-1 to Holmes in double overtime.
Current MACCC Player of the Week, Jose Villanueva (Maylene, Ala.) scored the game's first goal at the 9th minute to give the Indians (3-3, 2-1 MACCC North) an early lead that would hold true until halftime.
Early in the second half, Holmes picked up a big save on an ICC penalty kick and the netted the equalizer at the 63rd minute.
The Indians had numerous opportunities in the final minutes of regulation and both overtime periods, but a mix of big saves, shots off the posts and deflections kept the ball from finding the back of the net.
In the 105th minute, Holmes was able to score the golden goal to pick up the 2-1 win.
Next up for the Indians is a division matchup at Northwest Friday. Kickoff is scheduled for 3 p.m. from Senatobia.
