Lackluster second half dooms Indians in loss to No. 15 Gulf Coast
The No. 15 Mississippi Gulf Coast Bulldogs flexed their muscles in the second half to pull away for a 5-1 win over the Indians on Friday.

FULTON, Miss. – The No. 15 Mississippi Gulf Coast Bulldogs flexed their muscles in the second half to pull away for a 5-1 win over the Indians on Friday.
The Indians (1-2) struck first when Billy Gipp (London, England) found JB Purivs (Byhalia) for the goal in the 12th minute. The Bulldogs (1-2) pulled even when Abdul Omar scored on a penalty kick in the 27th minute.
After a back-and-forth first half, the Bulldogs dominated the second half.
Fabien Barker scored the first of his two goals on the evening in the 50th minute to give Gulf Coast the 2-1 advantage. Klaidas Pudlauskas put the Bulldogs up by two goals in the 80th minute before goals by Barker and Seongbin Son in the final five minutes of the match gave Gulf Coast the convincing victory.
The Indians will be back in action on Tuesday in a home friendly with Bethel University at 2:30 p.m.
