Metz named ITA Region III Coach of the Year
Coach Michael Metz has been named the 2024 Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Region III Coach of the Year.

FULTON, Miss. – Coach Michael Metz has been named the 2024 Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Region III Coach of the Year.
Metz led his squad to a historic season highlighted by finishing 13th in the NJCAA National DI Tennis Tournament last week, which was the second-best finish for a Mississippi-based program playing in the tournament.
Aside from the national tournament, Metz led the Indians to 10-4 overall and 8-2 conference records and an appearance in the NJCAA Region 23 Championship Match against Jones.
After the Region 23 Tournament, two Indians earned postseason honors with both Tasso Moreira and Knox Waterer being named to the All-MACCC Men's Tennis Team.
