Alberson named MACCC Player of the Week

FULTON, Miss. – Haylee Alberson (Hernando) has been selected Mississippi Association of Community Colleges (MACCC) Softball Player of the Week.

The freshman from Magnolia Heights went 6-for-12 with four home runs, two doubles and seven RBI on the week. Alberson went 2-for-6 with two doubles and a RBI against No. 5 Jones College. She closed out the week by going 4-for-6 with four homes and six RBI in a sweep of Snead State.

She is hitting .346 on the season with a team-best six home runs and is second on the team with 19 RBI.

The Indians slipped to No. 5 in this week's National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) DII rankings. They will step back into conference play and travel to Senatobia to take on the Rangers on Wednesday.
