Indian ace named to NJCAA All-Region team
Sophomore pitcher Alyssa Clifft has added yet another accolade to her impressive resume, earning a spot on the NJCAA All-Region 23 Team following a stellar season.
FULTON, Miss. – Sophomore pitcher Alyssa Clifft has added yet another accolade to her impressive resume, earning a spot on the NJCAA All-Region 23 Team following a stellar season.
Clifft was a dominant force in the circle for the Indians throughout the 2025 campaign. She appeared in 27 games, making 25 starts, and compiled an 18-8 record. Her consistency and endurance were on full display as she threw 20 complete games, racking up 168 strikeouts over 156.2 innings of work. That strikeout total ties the ICC single-season record.
She also finished the year with a 2.06 earned run average and a 1.01 WHIP, while limiting opponents to just 123 hits and 46 earned runs. Her 18 wins rank fifth all-time in a single season in ICC softball history.
Clifft has also been named to the All-MACCC First Team and the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) NJCAA DII All-Region Second Team.
