Indians drop back to No. 12 in NJCAA DII Rankings
The Itawamba Community College softball team dropped one spot to No. 12 in this week’s National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division II Top 25 poll.
FULTON, Miss. – The Itawamba Community College softball team dropped one spot to No. 12 in this week's National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division II Top 25 poll, the NJCAA announced Monday.
The Indians, ranked No. 11 last week, posted a 3-3 record over the past week. ICC opened with a sweep of Columbia State, earning an 8-0 victory in game one followed by a 16-0 win in game two.
On Wednesday, the Indians fell in a doubleheader at Shelton State, dropping game one, 6-4, and game two, 12-7. ICC closed the week Saturday with a split at Calhoun, taking game one, 16-1, before falling 10-3 in game two.
No. 12 ICC will be back in action on Thursday, March 5, when they host No. 17 Wallace State (DI) for a doubleheader beginning at 2 p.m. at Andy Kirk Field.
