FULTON, Miss. – Sophomore pitcher Ramsey Montgomery continues to dominate in the circle, earning Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference (MACCC) Pitcher of the Week honors for the second consecutive week, the conference announced on Tuesday.
Montgomery turned in another pair of standout performances for the Indians last week. In ICC's 6-1 game one victory over Mississippi Delta, she was nearly untouchable, striking out 10 batters while allowing just two hits and one run.
She followed that outing with another standout performance in a 4-0 win over Meridian, racking up 14 strikeouts while surrendering only two hits and no runs in a complete-game shutout.
Through her recent stretch, Montgomery has established herself as one of the most dominant pitchers in the country. She currently leads the nation with 124 strikeouts on the season.
No. 11 ICC will be back in action on Wednesday, March 18, as they continue conference play with a road doubleheader at Northwest, starting at 3 p.m.
