FULTON, MS -- Itawamba Community College head women's basketball coach Nanci Gray announced Walnut High School standout Presley Pulse signed a National Letter of Intent to play basketball for the defending state champion Lady Indians next season.
"We were really impressed with Presley each time we watched her play," said Gray. "She has the things you like to see in a guard for this level of play and she'll bring a lot of leadership coming from a program that has been extremely successful throughout her high school career."
Pulse averaged 13.1 points and 4.7 rebounds per game. She scored a season-high 22 points against Potts Camp and grabbed a season-high 10 rebounds against East Union while shooting 50-percent from the floor and 61-percent from the free throw line as a senior.
"I'm really excited to play for Coach Gray and Coach (Robin) Porter and be a part of the winning tradition they have built at ICC," said Pulse.
The Lady Wildcats finished 26-9 and played for the Mississippi High School Activities Association (MHSAA) Class 2A State Championship in her final season at Walnut.
"Presley has an abundance of experience as a guard and being a leader on the team playing point guard for four-straight years," said Walnut head basketball coach Lady Tribble. "Itawamba has always had a lot of outstanding players and I feel like she will fit in well with the program."
As a junior, Pulse average 14.2 points and 3.7 rebounds per game after averaging 8.5 and 2.1 rebounds per game during her sophomore season.
