FULTON, MS – Itawamba Community College sophomore guard Alontra Tucker was named to the MACJC Women's All-State North Division Second Team on Monday.
Tucker averaged a team-high 10.3 points and 4.2 assists per game this season to help lead the Lady Indians (23-6) to MACJC North Division and NJCAA Region 23 Championships. The Lamar native started all 23 regular season contest as well as six post season games.
She scored a season-high 19 points on three occasions with the last one coming in an 83-63 road win over Northeast Mississippi Community College.
Tucker and the Lady Indians will participate in the NJCAA Women's National Championship Tournament at the Rip Griffin Center in Lubbock, Texas. The tournament opens on Monday, March 14 and will conclude with the championship game on Saturday, March 19.
