Che’mya Carouthers signs with Alabama State
Itawamba Community College sophomore guard Che’mya Carouthers has signed to continue her basketball career at Alabama State University.
Fulton, Miss. – Itawamba Community College sophomore guard Che'mya Carouthers has signed to continue her basketball career at Alabama State University.
The Tupelo native has scored 174 total points so far in her ICC career and has helped the Lady Indians jump out to a 5-0 start this season.
During her freshman season, Carouthers scored 130 points in 25 games while helping the Lady Indians advance to the conference and region tournaments.
Carouthers' biggest game so far was a 21-point performance against Holmes during her freshman season. She also had a big 12 point game in the Lady Indians' win over Wallace State-Hanceville this season.
Alabama State, which is located in Montgomery, Ala., competes in the SWAC.
