Lady Indians beat Northeast and improve to 7-0
The Itawamba Community College women’s basketball program improved to 7-0 with a 60-51 rivalry victory over Northeast Mississippi Community College Thursday night.

Fulton, Miss. – The Itawamba Community College women's basketball program improved to 7-0 with a 60-51 rivalry victory over Northeast Mississippi Community College Thursday night.
After trailing the entire first half, the Lady Indians only trailed by two points, 30-28, at halftime. The teams battled through the third quarter but a Che'mya Carouthers (Tupelo) late in the third quarter gave the Lady Indians a 41-40 advantage heading into the fourth.
In the final quarter, the Lady Indians were able to hold on and extend the lead to pick up the 60-51 win.
Carouthers led the Lady Indians offensively with 18 points.
The Lady Indians will travel to Hanceville, Ala. Sunday to face the Wallace State Community College Lady Lions at 3 p.m.
