WEST MEMPHIS, Ark. – A strong defensive performance propelled the Itawamba Community College women's basketball team to a dominant 73-32 road victory over Arkansas State University Mid-South Monday night.
The Lady Indians didn't allow more than 10 points in each quarter; the least, six in the second.
Arianna Durrell (Clinton) led the way with 14 points; Allie Beckley (Pontotoc) had 11; and Jamyia Bowen (Shannon), nine; and D'Naylah Williams (Kosciusko) and Addison Howell (Olive Branch), six each.
Williams and Howell each had a team-best seven rebounds while Tenyzia Lathan, Charity Yeates (both of Columbus) and Bowen each added three.
