Lockett Caps Career with NJCAA All-American Honors
Tootie Lockett has been named National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division I Women’s Basketball All-American Honorable Mention
FULTON, Miss. – Tootie Lockett has been named National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division I Women's Basketball All-American Honorable Mention, the NJCAA announced on Wednesday.
Lockett put together one of the most complete seasons in the MACCC, but in the nation. She led ICC this year with 15.0 points per game while also contributing across the board with 83 assists and 44 steals. One of the defining moments of her season came on Feb. 26, when Lockett delivered a career-best 29 points in ICC's 84-46 win over Holmes.
Her efforts throughout the season did not go unnoticed, as Lockett collected an impressive list of accolades. She was named MACCC Player of the Week on March 11 and earned First Team All-MACCC and All-Region 23 honors. Highlighting her impact even further, Lockett was also named the MACCC Women's Basketball Player of the Year.
The Lady Indians finished the 2025-26 season with a 22-8 overall record with a 12-2 mark in MACCC play and an appearance in the Region 23 semifinals.
