Women’s Basketball Sends Five To The Next Level
Five recent graduates of Itawamba Community College have signed to continue their basketball careers at the next level.
FULTON, Miss. – Five recent graduates of Itawamba Community College have signed to continue their basketball careers at the next level.
Tootie Lockett - Mississippi State University
SO - G - Starkville
Lockett signed to return to her hometown and join the SEC after leading ICC with 15.0 points per game while adding 83 assists and 44 steals. She scored a career-high 29 points in an 84-46 win over Holmes on Feb. 26 and earned MACCC Player of the Week honors on March 11. Lockett was also named First Team All-MACCC, All-Region 23, MACCC Women's Basketball Player of the Year and NJCAA Division I All-American Honorable Mention.
I'Xana Winters - Mississippi Valley State University
SO - G - Tchula
Winters signed to continue her career with the Devilettes of Mississippi Valley State after finishing her ICC career with a second-best average of 10.8 points per contest while leading with a 31.5 three-point percentage and recording a team-best 85 assists. She matched her season-high 20 points in a 66-61 road loss at Pearl River on Jan. 31. She was named Second Team All-MACCC for her performance throughout the 2025-26 season.
Briyana Turner - Tuskegee University
SO - G - Tuscaloosa, Ala.
Turner returns to her home state after leading ICC with a 45.8 shooting percentage and 6.5 rebounds per game this past season. She recorded 20 assists with 28 steals and scored a career-best 22 points in the Lady Indians' 81-51 road loss at No. 2 Shelton State on Nov. 6. She was named All-MACCC Honorable Mention for her performance throughout the season.
Madison Dabbs - Mississippi University for Women
SO - F - Fulton
Dabbs provided valuable depth and energy for the Lady Indians throughout the 2025-26 season, making an impact with her hustle and rebounding efforts off the bench. Dabbs averaged 2.8 rebounds per game while helping ICC earn a berth in the NJCAA Region 23 Tournament.
Alexis Gordon - Mississippi University for Women
SO - G - Pontotoc
Gordon joins her teammate Dabbs in Columbus after providing depth and energy in the backcourt throughout her ICC career. Gordon appeared in 27 games across her freshman and sophomore seasons, contributing as both a scorer and defender while helping the Lady Indians reach the NJCAA Region 23 Tournament in each of her two seasons.
