Driskell named Conference Keeper of the Week
For the second time this season, ICC’s Anna Wesleigh Driskell has been named Keeper of the Week by the MACJC.
Fulton, Miss. – For the second time this season, Itawamba Community College's Anna Wesleigh Driskell has been named Keeper of the Week by the Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges (MACJC).
The freshman from Tupelo picked up two shutout wins in net while grabbing 10 saves in 180 minutes as the Lady Indians (7-3, 3-1 MACJC North) defeated Columbia State Community College, 3-0, and Dyersburg State Community College, 7-0.
Against Columbia State, Driskell made eight saves to preserve the shutout as well as two saves against Dyersburg State.
Driskell now has three shutout performances and 55 saves this season, and is now eligible for National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Keeper of the Week honors that will be released later this week.
The Lady Indians host Pearl River today at 2 p.m. and enter the game on a six-game win streak.
