Lady Indians upset No. 6 East Central in overtime

Fulton, Miss. – A Brianna Huckaby (Saltillo) golden goal at the 94th minute completed the Lady Indians a 2-1 upset victory over No. 6 East Central Tuesday.
In the hard fought first half, the Lady Indians (3-2, 2-0 MACCC North) broke the scoreless affair with a goal from Jewel Johns (Mooreville) at the 34th minute.
East Central was able to net the equalizer at the 60th minute, and had an opportunity to take a lead with under two minutes to play. However, a big save from Anna Kate Trost (Oxford) kept the game tied forced overtime.
The Lady Indians were on the attack early in the overtime period and Huckaby found the back of the net on a hard shot to pick up the thrilling victory.
No rest for the Lady Indians as they face yet another ranked opponent Friday when No. 2 Holmes visits Fulton. Opening kick is scheduled for 2 p.m.
