Fulton, Miss. – In only their second home game of the season, the Lady Indians dropped a 4-0 decision to No. 6 Holmes Tuesday.
The Lady Indians (3-4, 2-2 MACCC North) battled with the visiting Lady Bulldogs and both teams where scoreless until the 32nd minute, when Holmes took a 1-0 lead.
Five minutes late, Holmes found the back of the net again and held a 2-0 lead at halftime.
At the 68th minute, the Lady Indians had an opportunity to cut the lead in half, but luck wasn't on their side as a great shot hit off the cross bar and was saved by the Holmes keeper.
Holmes added two late goals at the 73rd and 86th minute to pick up the 4-0 win.
The Lady Indians will step out of North Division play for their next four games starting with a home showdown with Pearl River Friday at 2 p.m.
