Coach Ray Williams, who is starting his fifth year at ICC as defensive line and strength and conditioning coach, earned the bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Tennessee-Martin, where he played football from 2005-2008.
He is currently working on a master’s degree in physical education. At UT-Martin, he was a two-year all-conference selection, as well as, a TSN All-American (The Sporting News).
Williams served as graduate assistant at UT-Martin, where he worked with the defensive line for two years, and at the University of West Alabama where he worked with both the defensive line and linebackers for the 2011 spring semester.
The Demopolis, Alabama native set a World record by squatting 938 pounds at the 2015 International Powerlifting Federation (IPF) Classic Powerlifting World Championships in Salo, Finland. His total lift of 2,005 pounds also set a World record during the meet.
Ray has two sons, Tae’Sean and Daniel and one daughter, SaRaya.
