Coach Ray Williams, who is starting his sixth year at ICC as defensive line and strength and conditioning coach, earned the bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Tennessee-Martin, where he played football from 2005-08.
He is currently working toward a master’s degree in physical education. At UT-Martin, he was a two-year all-conference selection as well as a TSN All-American (The Sporting News).
Williams served as graduate assistant at UT-Martin, where he worked with the defensive line for two years, and at the University of West Alabama where he worked with both the defensive line and linebackers for the 2011 spring semester.
The Demopolis, Alabama native set a world record by squatting 966 pounds at the 2016 International Powerlifting Federation (IPF) Classic Powerlifting World Championships in Kileen, Tex. His total lift of 2,299.4 pounds also set a world record during the meet.
Williams has two sons, Tae’Sean and Daniel, and one daughter, SaRaya.
