WEST MEMPHIS, Ark. – The Itawamba Community College men's basketball program extended their winning streak to 10 games after a 74-53 road victory over Arkansas State University Mid-South Monday night.
The Indians went into the locker room with a 46-33 lead at the half. With a 12-2 run at the beginning of the second half, they cruised to the 21-point victory.
Five Indians had double-digit points, including Marcel Bridges (Brandon) 16; Bryson Dawkins (Ozark, Ala.), 14; MJ Smith (Prairie) and AJ Dent (Thomasville, Ga.) each with 12; and Dayveun Anderson (Tupelo), 10.
Dent had a team-best eight rebounds; Bridges and Smith, seven each; and Anderson, six. The Indians had 23 assists as a team with Anderson picking up six, James Turner (Biloxi), five and Chris Minton (Indianola), four.
