Raymond, Miss. – The Lady Indians started North Division play with an exciting 1-0 overtime win over Hinds Monday night.
Both teams had their scoring chances during the contest, but after 90 minutes, the game remained scoreless.
As the overtime period entered the final minute, Sydney Hughes (Tupelo) netted the golden goal with 34 seconds left to give the Lady Indians the thrilling victory.
The Lady Indians defense and keepers were able to keep the Lady Eagles scoreless throughout the entire affair to help earn the victory.
Next up for the Lady Indians (2-2, 1-0 MACCC North) is another division battle Friday when East Central (3-0-1, 1-0 MACC North) comes to Fulton. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. and will be available on LetsGoICCTV.com/red.
