For the second time this season, the ICC Women’s Soccer program upset nationally ranked East Central. Friday’s 3-1 road win also clinched a playoff berth for the Lady Indians.
A Brianna Huckaby (Saltillo) golden goal at the 94th minute completed the Lady Indians a 2-1 upset victory over No. 6 East Central Tuesday.
The Lady Indians (1-2) used a strong second half to pick up a 4-0 win over Southwest Tennessee (0-1) on a rain Monday afternoon.
The Lady Indians’ rally came up short in a 4-3 loss to the Southwest Mississippi Lady Bears on Saturday.
The ICC women’s soccer team is scheduled to open its season on Friday, Aug. 20, hosting Dyersburg at 2 p.m. With a strong core of returners and strong incoming freshman class, the Lady Indians are primed to make a push toward a return trip to the conference finals.
