“It feels good being able to continue to pursue my goals and do something to help my family out,” said McGee. “It’s been a long journey from coming in as a freshman and learning from the older guys to become one of those older guys and have players learn from me. Things like that taught me responsibility and how to be a better teammate.”
“It means a lot to be able to give back to the community like this because growing up we didn’t have places like this,” said ICC basketball player Ron Davis of Raymond.
“We are extremely proud of Tory and everything he has been able to accomplish in his two years here at ICC,” said MACJC Coach of the Year Grant Pate. “He has really grown into a great player, but more importantly he has become an outstanding individual away from the game of basketball. He knows and appreciations the value of a great education and really dedicated himself to the academic side of being a successful student-athlete.”
Coach Grant Pate has announced the High School Summer League schedule of games for Thursday, June 19th at the Davis Event Center and Fitness Center.
“Over the past two years Tory has really been a staple of our program,” said Coach Pate. “He is a true student-athlete and is really going to be missed. We’re excited for Tory and we’re excited for Mississippi College.”
ICC will host it's annual High School Boys Basketball Summer League on Thursday, June 12th at the Davis Event Center and Fitness Center Gym.
24 high school and junior varsity games will be held in the Davis Event Center and the Fitness Center gym starting from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 5th.
“It feels great,” Anderson said about signing with UT-Martin. “A big part of me coming to ICC was to get back to the Division One level and it’s even more special because I get to go back to the conference I came from with a bigger chip on my shoulder and a point to prove.”
The 2014 MACJC Champion Itawamba Community College men's basketball team will hold open tryouts on Tuesday, April 22 starting at 3:30 p.m. at the Davis Event Center on the Fulton campus.

Sophomores Lytia Coleman (Memphis, TN) and Latoya Collins (Jackson) will represent the 2013 NJCAA Region 23 champion Lady Indians with Alex Anderson (Memphis, TN), Johnthan McGee (Jackson) and Tory Rice (Starkville) representing the 2014 MACJC Champion Indians in this year’s All-Star game.
